Pray For Tel Afar

Located in the Nineveh planes about 40 miles west of Mosul, Tel Afar is inhabited by majority Turkmen peoples who are both Sunni and Shia background. This city is no stranger to war and has been the battleground for many throughout the years. Due to this, many Turkmen peoples have scattered throughout all of Iraq.

Father, the people of Tel Afar are far from You. They have lived through war after war and many of them have been scattered throughout Northern Iraq. A minority people group that is often forgotten, Lord, we thank You that You have not forgotten them. We ask that You would save many Turkmen people and give them a heart to return to Tel Afar to share the Good News of Christ with those people.
