Pray For Fallujah

Fallujah is located 43 miles west of Baghdad on the Euphrates. It is known for being a huge supporter of the Ba’ath party that Saddam Hussein led. It is predominantly Sunni and was favored under Saddam’s rule. Two major battles of the Iraq War were fought in Fallujah. In early 2014, it fell to ISIS. Agriculture is a major part of the local economy; however, that has been slow to recover after all the conflicts.

"Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:7-9

Lord, the people of Fallujah have lived in many years of darkness. They are like sheep without a shepherd. Show them that You, Jesus, are the door, and they can enter into Your pasture and Your rest. That You are the Good Shepherd who cares for His sheep. Lord, draw many from Fallujah into Your flock.
