Pray For Al Raqqah

Al Raqqah was once home to the capital of the Islamic state. Situated on the Euphrates river, the former de facto capital of the self-proclaimed ISIS caliphate is free now, but many of its residents continually try to leave as poverty continues to be a huge problem.

"Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan, I will now arise, says the LORD; 'I will place him in the safety for which he longs.” Psalm 12:5

Lord, draw the people of Al Raqqah to Yourself. Give them a longing for the safety that only You can provide. As their city is left in ruins, and as they have seen man fail over and over to provide and protect them, show them that You are the only One that can provide living water and a refuge from the storm.
